Brendon Allen

Brendon was born and raised in Lawrence, KS and has lived on 4 continents. From an early age Brendon had an interest in technology and computers which led to his career in the technology sector working for companies like Google and Motorola. This also led to his acquisition of an MBA from the University of Melbourne Australia and an Engineering Management Masters from Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania. On Brendon's return from Australia, in the one month of his life he did not have US health insurance (he had it in Australia), he was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma. After a year long chemotherapy regiment his leg was amputated below the knee to remove the tumor. In his international travels for work he was moved by the difference the lack of access to even basic prosthetics could make on the quality of life of amputees.
